For decades, I’ve had the privilege of being part of teams that launched Smart Cities, altemative broadband technologies, and cutting-edge solutions on the periphery of cloud platforms. To this day, I’ve yet to see a place that holds an unbelievable amount of opportunity than right here in our South Pacific neighbourhood.

The establishment of a Strategic Futures Office is crucial. This office would provide independent data to help the South Pacific nations build a clear digital vision and strategy that considers the unique needs and cultural identity of each country. Covering everything from the future of healthcare, to education, and even food specific to the region, this office would support the regular monitoring and evaluation of implemented initiatives to prepare for a forecasted outcome. The Tamarix Group is the only certified entity in the South Pacific to provide this service.
A strong cybersecurity framework is a nation's digital shield. Tamarix is able to source input from some of the best Security minds in the industry thanks to its partnership with Crayon. Conducting everything from risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, to developing a national framework that outlines policies and standards, through to building a dedicated cybersecurity agency or task force, Tamarix can source and provide whatever is needed through its specialized Security distribution arm to not only assist in design and deployment but also the knowledge transfer for sustainability.
Equipping the population with the necessary digital skills is essential for reaping the benefits of digital transformation. Tamarix's three-way partnership with Microsoft and Crayon allows them to provide consultation on creating and implementing training programs for the workforce and general population. These programs would cover skills such as coding, data analysis, and cybersecurity. This might then be facilitated through learning hubs, creating community learning centres in villages to provide access to computers, the internet, and digital skills training.
